Tanker units

 

On this page the WCFB presents pictures of our Tanker engines.
These units respond to major fires and incidents where large amounts of water/foam are needed and /or to incidents where chemicals are involved.
The WCFB has 5 water tankers, which can transport large amounts of water and foam to fires, where no water is available or access to a water source is difficult.



Tanker truck 76-34
First tanker of the WCFB. This truck is the first to respond to large fires and the third responding to any other call. This truck is a modified pumper with less equipment and a bigger water tank as the 76-14.
TYPE: MAN 28.414 FNALC 6x6 with ZIEGLER body.
EQUIPMENT: 8000L water, 240L foam, NH30 combination high-/low pressure water pump at 3600L/min. at 10 bar, 400 L/min at 40 bar, extra long water hoses, suction pipes, light unit on top, external-water feed mounts (to distribute water to several fire trucks).

Tanker truck 76-35
Second water tanker of the WCFB. This truck is only used to transport large amounts of water or foam to major fires and to remote fires, where no water is available.
TYPE: MAN 18.414 4x2 tractor unit.
EQUIPMENT: 43000L water, 240L foam, ROSENBAUER R600 2-stage NP-centrifugal pump at 7.000 lit/min at 10bar (mounted in trailer), extra long water hoses, suction pipes, light unit on top, external-water feed mounts (to distribute water to several fire trucks).

Tanker truck 76-36
New tanker of the WCFB. This truck is the second to respond to large fires. This truck is a large tanker with 8000L water and 300L foam capacity. It can be used to transport or to pump water to other units.
It is equipped with a large water pump, to distribute water to (several) other fire trucks
TYPE: MAN 28.414 FNALC 6x6 with ZIEGLER body.
EQUIPMENT: 8000L water, 300L foam, NH40 combination high-/low pressure water pump at 3600L/min. at 10 bar, 400 L/min at 40 bar, extra long water hoses, suction pipes, light unit on top, external-water feed mounts.

Tanker truck 76-37
The WCFB's first Hazardous Materials(HazMat) Tanker vehicle. This truck will only respond to chemical spills, incidents and/or fire where chemicals are involved. This truck is a special tanker with a 6000L water and 400L foam capacity. It also has the capability to suck fluids into it's special holding tank of 2000L.
The truck is equipped with special equipment and 2 special suits and BA, for dealing with these hazardous situations.
It is equipped with a large water pump, to distribute water and foam to (several) other fire trucks
TYPE: MAN 28.414 FNALC 6x6 with ZIEGLER body.
EQUIPMENT: 6000L water, 400L foam, 2000L Holding tank, NH40 combination high-/low pressure water pump at 3600L/min. at 10 bar, 400 L/min at 40 bar, extra long water hoses, suction pipes, light unit on top, external-water feed mounts, chemical suits, special breathing apparatus.

Tanker truck 76-38
8x8 tanker, based on the Panther-fire truck from Rosenbauer Techn. WCFB is granted the option to test this newly developed tanker for a period of 6 months.
During this period the vehicle will be thoroughly tested and subjected to extreme conditions.
