The WCFB also provides coverage on the International Westland City Airport.
The Airport Fire-section (AFS) has a station situated at the airport. At this point, the WCFB has 3 general Airport Firetrucks which respond to any calls at the Airport premisses.
These vehicles will be the first to respond and carry a variety of equipment, ranging from high- and low pressure waterhoses to technical equipment and a medium water-/foam gun on top.
The AFS also has two large Airport Fire-tenders to cope with airside emergencies. It carries large water- and foam tanks, rescue equipment, water-/foam guns mounted at the front and a large foam gun on top. Both ARFF's were replaced in 2007/2008 by three brand new state of the art units.
