Westland City Fire Brigade

WCFB - personnel

The WCFB is a large organization and thus has a lot of personnel, both full-time and part-time aswell as volunteers are working in and for our organization. This means it would take far too much space to mention all our personnel here on this website. Therefore, you will only find the management, from Station Chiefs all the way up to the Fire Chief.

General Regional structure:

The Fire Chief is in overall command of the region and reports directly to the Major of Westland City and/or the Minister of National affairs, under which the Dutch Fire Brigades reside. The FC directs most daily tasks to the AFC's, who can replace the FC in any situation when necessary.
These four Battalion Commanders are responsible for all operations in the whole region, which is divided into 6 sections and each commands a specific part of the organization being:
These Assistant Battalion Commanders are working on HQ in support of the Battalion commanders. They do mostly administrative work.
The Station Captains are running the fire stations in the region and report to the Battalion chiefs. In running the fire station they are responsible for all operations in the their sector in all imaginable ways. Some tasks are: and much more. The Station commanders are assisted by their Deputies. The WCFB is just a small part of a larger region, with it's 7 fire stations and one new station on the way.
The Lieutenants are responsible for each shift and are normally first officer on the first responding fire-engine. They take command on the scene and stay in command until a senior officer arrives, which normally would be the OvD (officer on Duty) or the Captain. They would only be needed if more than 2 fire-engines are responding.
