JANUARI
- 01/01/2005: The Westland City Fire Brigade wishes everyone a Safe and Happy 2005 ! 00:06H CET: Units 76-21 and 76-18 called out to reported house-fire. See incidents page for more details. There were no major fires or accidents, so it was a good Newyears night. All Scania pumpers have been refitted by WCFB-bodyworks, with new light-masts on the rear and the new computer-control system. Truck 76-19 has an extended mast. Also has truck 76-18 been delivered, it has been refitted with a new body, exactly as the 76-24. Tankers 76-34 and -37 aswell as Pumper 76-14 have also been refitted and delivered today. This means, that the biggest part of modernising the WCFB fleet is now finished. Pictures of all the refitted trucks will be available soon. - 16/01/2005: 13:04 CET; WCFB received a mayday call from a freighter. The ship had an engineroom fire and several WCFB together with PCFD marine-units responded. After several hours the fire was extinghuised and the vessel towed to port. More info can be found soon on the incidents page.FEBRUARI
- 05/02/2005: WCFB Marine unit 76-204 responded to a M/A call from Legobrook FD. More info can be found on the incidents page. The same day a large column of WCFB equipment responded to a large disaster at Silverbrick City. A fire-helicopter crashlanded into SBFD Headquarters, trapping their vehicles and personell inside. Help was coming from all around the Lego® State. - 14/02/2005: Due to increasing activities in and around the recreational waters and the Westland City and Legoborough Ports, aswell as the main sea route, WCFB has decided to buy another large Fireship like the 76-201 and 202. This unit will come into service this year. Also on order are two 15 meter fireboats, with on-board engines to patrol the recreational areas and assist Coast- and lifeguard on the beaches. These 2 fireboats have a single watergun, which can be controlled from the steering-stand with a joystick and the pump is driven by the ships engine. Also on order are 2 new pumpers, 2 new support units and a new communications truck. Station 6 is still under construction and the New communications & Dispatch center is being refurbished. This means, the Dispatch room will be moving from HQ to this comms center. All these vehicles and ships will be available for mutual aid and the fireboats can be called on for regular patrols by neighboring Cities. - 27/02/2005: RECTIFICATION WCFB-PR department needs to rectify the following: In the press release from 14-02-2005, we incorrectly stated that 2 new pumpers are on order. The current situation is as follows: -4 off the 8 Scania pumpers, ordered in 2004 still await delivery -2 new scania pumpers with crew cab and longer body have been added to this order. -2 new pumpers based on the same MAN chassis as the 76-25, with crew cab have been ordered. So, the total ammount of 8 new pumpers will be deliverd in the coming months. We apologize for the misunderstanding. Regards, WCFB PR-DepartmentMARCH
